Education Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 1 to 3 years of related accounting experiences

General Description:

This is a new position within the growing Accounting/Finance department of Beigene, located in Cambridge. The accountant will perform the accounting close and transaction activities including AP, payroll, fixed assets, account reconciliations, and other activities.


  • Assist the Accounting Manager with day to day transactional accounting and related activities, quarterly and year end operations of the Accounting/Finance department; including the financial close process.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding
  • Create payments for US and Cayman entity in SVB banking system
  • Maintain the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules
  • Prepare general ledger entries
  • Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements
  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy and accordance to the company policy
  • Manage corporate credit card program
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Preparation of Financial (GAAP) and Management reports
  • Involvement with Sarbanes-Oxley policies, procedures, and accounting in accordance with GAAP
  • Contribute to the identification and design of accounting policies, procedures & Business process improvements
  • Assist Accounting Manager with external Auditor requests during quarterly reviews and annual audit
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.

Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 1 to 3 years of related accounting experiences
  • Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office, especially use of Excel
  • ERP Systems (SAP), Concur, SVB Banking, ADP Workforce Now a big plus
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and good organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and maintain organization in a changing environment
  • Team player that can collaborate with other teams in the organization
  • High level of interpersonal skills that demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Must be self-driven, with a willingness to do what it takes to meet important deadlines
