Reports To: SVP of China Development, with functional line to VP Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety in US

General Description:

The Regional Head will be responsible for the line management of PV personnel in the region who have both local and global roles. The Regional Head will be the PV regulatory expert for the region and the chief PV contact person for the regulatory authorities in the region for investigational and marketed products.

Essential Functions of the job:

Represent PV to regional regulatory authorities in conjunction with global functional leads as needed

  • Stay updated with changes in PV regulatory rules for countries in the region and contribute this information to the global PV functions
  • Represent PV at regional PV meetings and provide the global functional heads in PV with industry trends and thinking
  • In conjunction with the global PV functional leads develop training materials and ensure that regional PV personnel receive required training
  • Keep apprised of changes in clinical oncology practices in the region and evaluate how these practices might affect the safe use of our products

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct line management of all PV personnel in the region. Personnel may have dotted line reporting into global functional heads in PV

Computer Skills :    

Other Qualifications:   5+ years of PV experience in the region including people management and regulatory interaction. Knowledge of global PV requirements. Training in oncology preferred. Strong people management skills in a global matrix environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills

Travel:  10%. Manage groups in multiple sites
