Independent Medical Education Grants

BeiGene is committed to advancing medicine, optimizing patient outcomes, and improving quality healthcare through the support of Independent Medical Education (IME) Grants.

IME Mission

At BeiGene, we understand the important role that educational programs play in enabling healthcare professionals at all levels to improve their skills and knowledge, with the goal of improved patient outcomes and quality healthcare. We aspire to advance these goals by providing support to a wide range of independent medical educational (accredited and unaccredited) programs. Our grant program focuses on supporting high-quality, evidence-based programs and activities in the therapeutic areas in which BeiGene has focused its research and development efforts.

Organizations We Support

We support organizational requests identifying unmet educational needs of a target audience, demonstrating how the program will address these unmet needs, and encouraging the improvement of medicine and healthcare.  We accept proposals from a variety of independent educational providers, including:

  • Independent third-party medical education companies
  • Hospitals, medical centers, and academic medical institutions
  • Medical associations and societies
  • Patient advocacy organizations
  • Medical and scientific publications

All grant requests must be submitted to at least sixty (60) days prior to the program start date, and must include the following documentation:

  • W-9 form (if applicable)
  • IRS letter of determination
  • Detailed program agenda & objectives
  • Needs assessment
  • Signed grant request letter on letterhead
  • Detailed budget for the entire program

Truly Independent and Unbiased

Responsibility and control over the selection, content, faculty, educational methods, materials, and venue for an independent medical education program belongs solely to the organizers of the event. We will not provide any advice or guidance to the independent medical education provider regarding the content or faculty for any program that has received funding.
